Tudex app for iPhone and iPad

Tudex is an online marketplace that connects Australia’s talented tutors with students. In light of the collaborative/gig economy Tudex has found a solution for the Australian Education industry. We believe that every child learns differently however studies have also agreed that one on one attention encourages and extracts more potential from students.
As opposed to an environment of normal tuition centres where there are 20 to 30 children in a classroom meant that each individual student would not get the attention and help they need to advance. Advancing in one particular subject allows a child to increase his or hers confidence in the study process, thereby helping them to take a positive approach to other areas of their lives.

APP Specifics
The app starts off with a home screen where we encourage users to register as a Student or Tutor. Otherwise we give them the flexibility to explore the app.
We have 2 separate interfaces for students and tutors. As such we will break up the App session flows for both end users.
Student Session Flow
Once a student/parent creates a profile they can sign in to the main interface.
• The home page demonstrates Tudex’s solution and value add. It explains the simple process where students can:
o Find exceptional tutors through searching by subjects to find a tutor near them
o Schedule and book the tutor that they like after chatting with tutors
o Learn from the tutors once ofcourse the session is completed.
We also make a strong point that our tutors are certified and verified.
• Students can the click on Search or the call to action bar at the bottom of the home screen to search for a student. The initial search is based off the subject they are looking for a tutor
• The following screen shows all the available tutors based off the search criteria. Here we see a quick brief and picture of the Tutors. Students can then click on any tutors that they’d like to see more information on
• Once clicking on a tutor, we are led to a screen with the full biography of the respective tutor. We can now see which school/uni the tutor went to, which subject he/she tutors, price, location and availability.
• Tudex also allows our students to chat with the tutors live through the chat functions which allow them to feel a higher level of comfort before deciding to book the session.
• Once the Student/Parent is happy with a particular tutor they can then book a session by reserving a time with the Tutor.
• We process the payment through Paypal /Credit Card.
• Once the session is completed, we then pay the tutor his commission for the session.
• In the event the Student/Parent was not happy with the session we are able to refund the payment to the parent or arrange another tutor.

Tutor Session Flow

Once a tutor signs in, there are 3 tabs that are available to them on the app; calendar, sessions and chat.
Calendar - they are directed into a calendar section of the app. Here they are able to view the month, change calendar layout etc. They are also able to toggle to different calendar views. Within the calendar their current, future and past tutor sessions are visibly displayed.
Students – In this section they can see the names of each individual student and the dedicated sessions and hours remaining
Chat – is the same functionality as the student session flow. In this section they are able to chat with their students in real time or prospective students who have initiated a chat. This section of the app will also allow tutors to schedule sessions with the students.

When a new session is booked and a student logs in, the tutor will be notified of that new session that has been scheduled.
